Before booking your appointment...

You have to be sure that you are not currently experiencing any of these symptoms:
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fever
Chills
Sore throat
New loss of taste or smell
Please note: Other less common symptoms have been reported, including gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Besides without any above symptoms, you have to agree that you have not:

Tested positive for COVID-19
Knowingly been exposed to someone with COVID-19
Recently traveled to an area with a high infection rate
Been in an area where social distancing was not properly observed
Been to a nursing home

About Massage Therapy

What is massage therapy?


Massage is the hands-on manipulation of soft tissues and joints of the body. Soft tissue includes muscles, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue.

Does health insurance cover massage therapy?


Massage therapy is not covered by OHIP, however, you may have coverage through your work place or private health insurance plan. Consult your policy for details.

Training


Registered Massage Therapists are required to complete a minimum of 2200 hours of training. Upon completion of the program, the student must pass an Entrance to Practice examination set by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
